Why are British Catholics forgetting our past?

In 1707 Catholics were banned from Schools, speaking Gaelic, wearing tartan and even going to School. Catholic priests were removed from churches, paintings, crucefixes, and anything that reminded the Hannovers of Catholicism was removed. In the 1800's early 1900's Catholic had to build their own schools, fight for Jobs, even change their names to get jobs. Catholics were banned from using golf courses, bowling greens, tennis clubs, any form of public activity.

We Catholics are forgiving people because that's what Jesus would do.

I have never felt segregated for being a Catholic in any way, I really don't recognise the country you're describing.
